PRE-RESEARCH PREPARATION
Aseptic Environment: Ensure all research is conducted in a sanitized, draft-free environment.
Sterilization: Use 70% Isopropyl Alcohol to sanitize the rubber stoppers of both the R-Series vial and the Bacteriostatic (BAC) Water vial.
Equilibration: Allow the lyophilized vial to reach room temperature for 5 minutes before reconstitution to prevent condensation.
Syringe Selection: Use a sterile, single-use research syringe with a fine-gauge needle to minimize stopper degradation.
CRITICAL: AIM SOLVENT AT THE GLASS SIDE-WALL DO NOT INJECT DIRECTLY INTO THE POWDER
Solvent Volume: For the R-30 (30mg), it is standard to use 3.0mL of Bacteriostatic Water for a 5mg/mL research concentration.
Pressure Equalization: Before withdrawing solvent, inject an equal amount of air into the BAC Water vial.
Slow Introduction: Inject the BAC Water slowly. Let it trickle down the side of the vial to protect the delicate peptide chains from "shearing."
Natural Dissolution: Allow the vial to sit for 2–5 minutes. If needed, gently swirl (do not shake) until the solution is clear and colorless.
Final Inspection: Discard the vial if the solution appears cloudy, discolored, or contains visible particles.
